ENCRUZADO is a native Portuguese grape variety that produces excellent white wine in the Dão Region. Our 2008 is a lovely wine with fine texture and a rich mouth coating quality. Voluminous body with a wonderful acidity and a long and peppery ending.

The ENCRUAZDO BARRICAS is he barrel aged version of this varietal. The oak is discreetly present with the fruit shining through. Very elegant on the palate and distinct with aristocratic air.

This is our initial offering Rosé. Salmon colored, light aroma but very pleasant with a perception of quality fresh fruit. Very harmonius on the palate with a very slight sweet aftertaste. A perfect wine for the summer!

2007 DÃO DOC ALFROCHEIRO

It has become our tradition to produce between 1200 to 2000 bottles of red wine made from the Alfrocheiro grape, another Portuguese varietal that grows particularly well in the Dão. The 2006 is extremely elegant, full of red fruit with nicely integrated tannins. No wonder it is often compared to a Pinot Noir!

2007 DÃo DOC CuvÉe TT Reserva

60% Tinta-Roriz (Tempranillo) and 40% Touriga-Nacional. Fermented in traditional granite lagars followed by 12 months of ageing in mostly French and some American oak barrels. The result is a very modern and personal red wine, ripe and forward with considerable tannins lurking underneath. You can drink it now or save it for later!

2007 DÃo DOC Touriga~Nacional Reserva

The Touriga-Nacional is our flagship wine – our fifth single variety wine produced since 2003. The 2005 edition was elected one of the best Touriga-Nacionals in Portugal by various wine magazines and guides. 2007 comes along with less alcohol (13.5% Vol.) than last year, but the wine shows already now a tremendous elegance full of fruit with berries and prunes and well built in tannins. It is already now very accessible.
